Increased uterine lining on Letrozole

Hi everyone! I am looking for advice please. I was on Tamoxifen for 5 1/2 years and had annual vaginal ultrasounds with no issues with my lining. Every year I was at 4 mm. I switched to Letrozole a year and a half ago and now the lining is 8 mm. Had a biopsy today (painful)! I expected an increase while on Tamoxifen but not while on an AI. Has anyone else had this problem? The exams are so painful for me that I can't imagine having to continue doing this annually. I am 51 and chemo put me in menopause at 43. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have no real input except to say my gyn said anything around half a cm would be considered normal. Mine was 3 cm before I finally called an end the all the gyn visits and had the hysterectomy. The biopsies are very painful. Yikes! I hope the new measurement is just a blip. Best wishes.

It really doesn't make sense to me that it would be associated with letrozole (or any AI). I'd definitely dig into that with the MO as well as OB/GYN. If it's not caused by letrozole you need to find out the actual trigger, if at all possible.
