edited December 2017 in Waiting for Test Results

Hi.

New here. I had 2 biopsies yesterday on palpable lumps and clustered microcalcs. I'm 31 and could use some good thoughts/prayers while I anxiously wait for the test results. I have supportive family, but i feel very isolated because I don't know anyone who has gone through this. I send all you ladies my support/ prayers in return.

Thanks❤

JennL, Welcome to BCO! You will find much support and understanding here. We do know how difficult it is to wait and worry, perhaps imagining the worst. Did your doc tell you how long you have to wait for results? I am hoping you have them before the weekends, which can feel extra long (and not in the good way). Do you know what your BIRADS score was on your imaging report? that often gives us a better idea of what the radiologist was thinking.

Sending you positive thoughts for b9 results!

    MTwoman,

Accidently deleted my post, but thank you for the positive thoughts and kind words. My BIRADS score was category 4. Unfortunately, I received part of my Dx yesterday:( ILC, grade 1, Er+ Pr+, so far...

I was told by my GP, that my pathology report is still pending completion. Like what?! Is that normal to only get part of the pathology report?

Welcome, JennL86. I am so sorry about your diagnosis. Yes, the HER2Neu characteristic can take longer for the Lab to determine..

    Hello, Jenn.

Sorry to hear that you pathology came back positive. Like Lcietla said, yes, it can take a bit longer for Her2 to come back.

Looking at what you do know, there is some "good news". It's grade 1 which means it's not aggressive ( 2 would be intermediate 3 would be aggressive).

So hang tight. I would recommend going to the ILC forum, the ladies there will help you understand THIS kind of cancer. The more common breast cancer is called IDC (invasive ductal carcinoma). What you have is Lobular.

KEEP BREATHING. YOU ARE GOING TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS
