No treatment chosen for IDC

Has anyone chosen no treatment with IDC after clean lymph nodes after double mastectomy?

    Chromelassie, I was grade 3 and highly ER/PR so I did the treatments. I am 4 years into the blockers though I will be giving serious thought to staying on these past 5 years. You are adverse to trying them? Did you have an oncotype? If I had a low oncotype and a grade one tumor I likely would have made different choices.

    chromelassie....hi there. Yes I have IDC and ILC and I chose to have a BMX with no other treatment. I'm almost 3 years out and so far NED. I have lost 30 pounds since my diagnosis and try to exercise daily. I also take several supplements to try and lower my estrogen levels naturally. We all have to make our own informed decisions about treatment options.Good luck to all.

    That is encouraging news. Congratulations. I had a massive stroke 6 years ago and would have had to have my ovaries out to take the tamoxifen. My obgyn was insistent that I keep my ovaries . I'm 49 and premenopausal. I am interested in what supplements you take that lower estrogen . I would consult my doctors before taking anything , but I am curious as I've never heard of this . Thank you .
