It is hoped that ALL the ladies with recurrences have a SUCCESSFUL surgery & treatment plan. You will be remembered in the power of meditation & prayer, as I believe there's power in "belief". I truly believe it's extremely helpful that you are all empowering yourselves with sharing knowledge & experiences while embracing your treatment plans.

OneDay, there is also a Papillary Carcinoma thread here which you might find interesting. Congratulations on 26 years! Would you mind sharing your original and new primary tumor characteristics and location(s) in the breast? Did you ever do hormone treatment?

I had grade-III DCIS, Invasive Papillary Carcinoma & Mixed Mucinous Carcinoma grade-II about 3-4 years ago with multiple surgeries (LX & BMX) & hormone therapy, but still crossing my fingers & lots of praying. Best wishes to all.

What happened with the lump? I'm 20 years out and have found a couple BB sized lumps in my breast on Mastectomy side

I am so sorry that you have to worry about this after so many years. My lump was a fatty necrosis...My doctor removed it for my peace of mind. During reconstruction I had a fat graft, apparently fatty necrosis can happen any time. Hopefully, you can get checked by your doctor quickly and that your get good news:-)

I'm almost 6 years from my diagnosis of stage 2B triple neg. Had double mastectomy with DIEP recon. I just found a pea sized lump on the "good" side. It's hard and doesn't move. Went for US today and they said it looks like a lymph node and we would follow up in 6 mos. I'm not feeling as relieved as I should though. I haven't spoken with my once yet and I'm having surgery in the next few weeks with my ps. I assume if he takes it out he will send it for testing? God bless you all.

Do request that he send it for biopsy. Hoping it is benign
