Giving giftd

Happily, I receive treatment and medical in a very small cancer unit in our local hospital. My next visit is Dec 7 and I want to acknowledge these amazing women with small gifts.

There is a general office staff. Four nurses and my doctor. I'm not sure who all the office staff is so I plan to bring in a tray of cookies. I have little makeup purses for the nurses and want to fill them with something. Any ideas ?

Finally, what do I give my doctor ?

Any input would be appreciated.

Joan

    Hi Joan,

You are so thoughtful to think of making gifts for all of your doctors and nurses. One thing that I gave to all of my doctors and nurses after my mastectomy were thank you cards expressing my heartfelt gratitude for all the care they gave me. I plan on sending them holiday cards this year too.

All of the caring people on our medical team have helped us become healthy again. They are our guardian angels.

What kind of cookies do you plan on baking?

    Hugs,

    Sara

I agree with sm627 about the cards. I am also bringing cookies to my next infusion, and next appointment with my MO. I am making pumpkin snickerdoodles, and maybe some chocolate chip and sugar cookies ( depending on how much energy I have lol). I am brining my MO some Fanta too because when I asked him if I could have diet coke while getting chemo he said yes and told me that fanta was his favorite soda. As for the little makeup purses, maybe gift cards to a coffee house?

Yum! Pumpkin snicker doodles. I was thinking sugar cookies also. As you say. Depends on my energy. I know almost nothing about my MO except she has 5 kids and is amazing
