Scary week for me and I feel at peace

All I know right now is that I have grade 3 IDC and a lump that appears to be 1.5 to 2 cm via clinical exam and US and that lymph nodes look borderline ok. I am having an MRI and will get the pathology report back this week. So much potential for worse news. I could have more lumps or lump could be bigger, spread could be detected in my lymph nodes and I could have triple negative cancer. Still I feel at peace and my anxiety is gone. Like whatever is meant to be will be. Turning over my care to my doctors and just trying to figure out what I need to get ready for chemo and find the support that I need. Please pray for me

You have a wonderful attitude my prayers are with you. May I ask how you know the kind without the pathology report? So far the only information I have is a bunch of scary words on 2 mammograms and a ultrasound my biopsy is Tuesday.

Part of my pathology report came back and still waiting for the rest. Good luck to you and hoping for benign results for you. I was just where you are now and the not knowing made me so anxious that I feel being told I have cancer actually feels better. Hang in there. Hugs

How do you know you will have chemo? Are you going to have an Oncotype Dx test done? I had grade 3, the same size, and did not have chemo (ER/PR+).

Because of discordant results in my pathology, I could not put my trust in doctors but had to get three opinions and do research and make decisions. If you have a doctor you totally trust, you are ahead of the game. Good luck!

windingshores, I don't know for sure but its likely that I will have chemo. I hope I have luck with the hormone receptor status. Fingers crossed. I am praying. Did you elect to do the mastectomy? My doctor is suggesting lumpectomy plus radiation if the mri doesn't find more stuff.
