    Hi all,

    I wondered if anyone here has had experience of the effects of Tamoxifen on endometriosis and uterine fibroids (whether positive, negative, or no effect!).

    I have had endo for years (surgically confirmed). It is currently well managed by diet and exercise. When it is bad, it has quite a negative impact on my quality of life. I also have several uterine fibroids.

    I've mentioned to my treatment team that I have endo, but only found that Tamoxifen can worsen symptoms of endo through doing my own research.

    I has BSO done last Tuesday, and the doctor took biopsies from the uterus, which turned out to be endometriosis. I never had endo before, so suspect it grew on tamoxifen. I did have fibroids prior to starting on tamoxifen, they were removed, but grew again.

    I developed uterine polyps , heavy periods and genital skin tags after 1 yr of tamoxifen. I only tolerated the joint pain side effect for a year and then quit. The other issues came a couple years later. I had myosure procedure done so no more periods . Hopefully no more polyps too. I'm ER PR positive. Im' 7yr almost from my dcis diagnosis.
