Daughter with breast cancer
I have been coming to this site since 2007, I had a diagnoses of LCIS and now 4 biopsy later and a diagnoses of Ductal Hyperplasia, PASH and now the words I never wanted to hear in my life time that my daughter has breast cancer....they say DCIS stage 0...she has spoke to a surgeon and he said the best would be double mastectomy.... she is getting a second opinion which was suppose to be on the 30th but they called her today after she had a MRI and it showed something in the left breast so now she not only has it in the right but now something in the left....and now they want to do a MRI with biopsy....needless to say I am so concerned for her....I was handling the DCIS stage 0 but now all this...she also is waiting to hear about her blood work for the cancer gene and another T something because she had a tumor in her adrenal gland back in May and had to have surgery for that and it was not cancer. I just need to talk to someone right now...so sorry if this doesn't make much sense. She is beside her self right now and she said it is all to much...I don't know how to help her beside just to listen and cry with her, scream with her and be her Mom.

Sounds like you are supporting her in the best way possible. Take things step by step. MRIs often show stuff that is not cancer. I never understand why docs go ahead w mri guided biopsie when the patient has already decided on a BMX. But what do I know.
PS - IMHO anti anxiety meds were made for times like these.

You look like a tough women to help your daughter with her fight and support her in any way she needs or necessary. You have my prayer for your daughter and good luck for th further treatment.

Daughter had lumpectomy and they found small amount in lymph node...does not need chemo but having radiation and taking Tamoxifen...that is the plan for now...she has to see cancer doctor before radiation and one more week of healing before they can do anything. Her stage has changed from stage 0 to stage 1 micro. She also has two masses in her uterus and cyst on her ovary so they are doing the radiation first then a hysterectomy when she is able. This has been one of the worse times in our families life but we are staying strong and keeping our faith and hope...she is a very strong women and I know she is going to come out of all of this just fine. Thank you all for listening to me and I wish all of you the very best....will keep you all in my prayers. I just wanted to give a update on Amy... she is our pride and joy along with her two brothers and we never want to see our kids ill but this is real life and it happens....all we can do is be there for them, love them and pray..... trust me we have prayed....just because our kids get older and get families of their own doesn't mean we don't worry....I worry more now that they are grown.... so when you talk to someone you love, spouse, kids, grandkids, brother, sister tell them you love them and glad they are in your life. Thanks again to all that responded...bless you all.
