    dtad,

ME TOO! Sorry for the confusion. For me, I may be trying to fight a battle with my MS symptoms with the pellets that cannot touch all the neurological damage I have. Since I never tried the arimidex , I have nothing to compare my results with the A&T pellets with. Is the A causing more meno symptoms? Is the current dose of the T too low? I'm going to the lab today to check my hormone levels, estro, testo, and thyroid. Not exactly a complete hormone check IMO, and dr L should have done these checks pre implant. Makes me wonder if the first dose of T&A is moot, or are my expectations too high?

have you tried a naturopathic doc or integrative oncologist? There has got to be someone out there that can figure it out. I guess I'm wondering why after five years NED you would now consider oral Arimidex?

dtad, The only way I was able to try the pellets was to take it with arimidex pellets. I had no choice in this instance. I DO NOT WANT, or feel I need HT to fight against BC. If I can convince a dr to rx Androgel and oral AI, doesn't mean I will actually swallow that pill. I will NOT. I can get my hands on the Androgel from a 'friend' but I would prefer consulting my dr and getting a rx for it to save money.

I had my blood work done to see where I stand with my hormone level. Do I need a higher dose of T? Can I skip a higher dose of the Arimidex if the T dose is increased? IDK. Will the arimidex cancel out the effects of Testos? Confused and uncertain for sure.

I consulted with Dr. G Wong in NYC a few years ago and took his 'tea' for several months for hormone control. Very expensive. 400$/month+consultation fees. He is well respected (Chinese Medicine practitioner) but I decided to take DIM and make other life style changes.

At this point, I want to try T replacement w/o the AI

    • Testosterone has been reported in some studies to have an anti-carcinogenic effect on breast cancer cells and in clinical studies has demonstrated increased survival rates for patients receiving testosterone vs. those who did not.
I think it is why it was/is used to treat advance stage cancer. Tumors responding to it doesn't mean it makes them grow. The issue is that it is converted to estrogen via aromatase. But Arimdex, femera and other aromatase inhibitors stop this process.
I spoke with my MO this morning and the pellet study was apparently cancelled because they could not get enough participants. Looking for a compounding pharmacy to make the 1% T cream. I know of one in Charleston SC but that's too far too

My oncologist prescribed androgel testosterone gel 2-3 years ago to explore whether it would work synergistially with my other conventional, unconventional and alternative approaches to MBC.

While it's hard to give it the sole credit for longevity, I believe it's made me physically stronger.

Now that I have cachexia, muscle wasting, he urges me to continue as I need whatever strength and stamina I can get, even if it comes from a bottle.

    healing blessings, Stephanie

radgal... I just read your post from 2015. I also would like to continue the pellets with Testosterone plus AI. What did your oncologist say? Are you doing the pellets now and are you happy with the results? Are you also taking AI in pill form or are you doing the pellets INSTEAD of taking the AI?

Just wanted to give an update on my testosterone use with Dr. Glaser. I am getting anastrazole/testosterone pellet insertions every three months. The testosterone def helps with the side effects from the anastrazole, although not completely. It does give more energy. It starts wearing off after 2 months. I am doing the anastrazole pellets, as the oral causes more side effects. It is my trade off, instead of not taking the anastrazole at all. I wouldn’t be able to stay on the anastrazole without the testosterone. Dr. Glaser explained that the anastrazole prevents the testosterone from aromatizing into estrogen, so it is safe for E+. She charges $400 per insertion. I have been doing the pellet insertions for a year and a half now

I’m getting a ton of lab tests and saliva cortisol a test to see if I can do testosterone and Anastrozole pellet therapy. Does this form of treatment help stop all the awful side effects of just taking Anastrozole like weight gain, hot flashes, joint pain? My Dr. Susan Linder in Fort Worth, TX said to read Dr. Glazer website to see the articles about this type of treatment since she does the same
