Weekly Taxol, herceptin, perjeta. Experiences?
I finished ac two weeks ago and I start 12 weeks of weekly taxol, herceptin and perjeta combo tomorrow. I was curious to hear of others experiences with it so I can kind of have an idea of what it's like?
Ac was rough for me. I'm hoping this next stuff will be easier

Hi mojo, Taxol was easier on the stomach, but harder on the bones/joints. Still, my preference would be Taxol. Once you are done with Taxol, Herceptin and Perjeta is a piece of cake. Wish you smooth sailing.

shells, I’m doing them all three at once

Mojo, That is common for triple positive BC. Unfortunately, my Her2 changed after chemo from negative to positive. I had already did Taxol so now I just do the Herceptin and Perjeta. You will be feeling much better once you're done with the Taxol.

For me, neoadjuvant DD A/C was easy. Adjuvant Taxol was not nice. Basically on Ta ol, I existed either in bed or on couch in front of TV for the complete and utter EXHAUSTION. Also had issues with keeping temperature up onto a :normal:/safe level. -
I had my first one yesterday, man that takes a long time to get through all 3.
I startd to feel a little queasy at the end of the taxol and then full on barfing my brains out while getting ther herceptin. They gave me zofran before so I don't understand. I never actually threw up with ac. Just always felt like I was going to. At least with throwing up I felt better after. I hope it's not always like this.

Hi Mojo! I know you started this regimen in November, but I was wondering how you made out? I'm still a few weeks away from starting it and am getting quite nervous. Also what was ac? I wasn't told about other chemo, just taxol/herceptin/perjeta.

Hi Cary1022 and Mojo. Thought I'd pop in here too as I start Taxol & Herceptin this week and am a bit nervous as well. Not sure about Perjeta?

hi guys! I’m going in for #9 of the weekly (13 total as of Wednesday) I started getting steroid on the day when I have the trio (taxol herceptin and perjeta) and it helps me sooo much. I haven’t had steroid at all until my second trio. So my cycles are week one: herceptin perjeta and taxol
Week two: taxol
Week three: taxol
Then I start over again. My dr blames perjeta for a a lot of stuff. But the taxol has me having a lot of joint pain. But the good thing is my hair started growing back on my head! My eyebrows and arm hair left with the weekly but I look like I had a buzz cut now instead of mr clean bald!
I am still unclear why I am having perjeta too. But I am. Only 4 more weeks! Then on to surgery then radiation then herceptin (and possibly perjeta with it) to finish out a year). I can see the finish line!
Cary and gwm, have you started your infusions?
