The waiting is the worst. My husband is the only person that knows, I haven’t told any of my friends because I don’t want it to become a big deal if it isn’t one.

I had two masses and a lymph node biopsied on Wednesday afternoon after a diagnostic mammo and u/s on Monday, which I had done after finding a dent in my right areola and then a lump that was visible under the skin next to it. The radiologist said there was a moderate suspicion of malignancy in the two masses, and the lymph node is asymmetrical but he said there was only a low suspicion there.

I feel like my life is on hold until I know what I’m dealing with. I haven’t even done any shopping for thanksgiving dinner next week, because I can’t seem to let myself think past the day I will get the call, even though I don’t know when it will be.

    Hi Houmom-

    We know how awful the waiting is, and how hard it is to think of anything else. Hopefully your results come back quickly, and the news is good! Please keep us posted!

    Thank you. They said 5-7 business days, 5 days would be before thanksgiving, 7 days would be another 10 days from now. So far they have been great about squeezing me in and getting things expedited, so I’m hoping they will keep doing that.

    I just got my u/s and mammo report. They gave it a bi-rads of 4c. The masses have architectural distortion and the lymph node has eccentric cortical thickening. Yikes.
