July 2017 Surgery

HEllo ladies how are y’all? I hope well. I wanted to let you know that I had my exchange surgery Nov 1 to remove TEs for implants & fat grafting from hips & it went well! The implants are definitely more comfortable than the TEs but still pretty firm. I have to wear compression bandage around stomach & hips for few weeks to help from fat grafting aka lypo suction lol. I have 2 small places on each side of lower abs in pelvis area from lypo (about same size as drain holes from breast surgery) that are healing fine. Its almost been 2 weeks and my bruising is gone from hips just a bit tender still. My breasts look so much better shape wise. They continue to move & settle dailyand just keep looking better. I have to wear surgical bra or sports bra day and night for a long time ( I need to find out how long). Anyways just wanted to share. Hugs to you all

hi lynae I'm happy for you
Tomorrow I'm gonna have radiation #13 almost half way
After radiation I will have a surgery to put an expander in my right side
And few months later an exchange surgery
-
Hi Gigi-Thank you!! I am so happy to hear you are halfway through your radiation. You are almost there
-
Lynae, That is so good to hear. I can't wait to have these tissue expanders taken out! I am almost done with chemo and then I can resume fills and start thinking about having them exchanged. I think I am going to do it in March as I have a really busy January and February since returning to work.
-
Hang in there toughcookie...so happy to hear you are almost done with chemo. That is a huge step
I was so happy to be done with chemo when I finished. It is so tough on our bodies. I am still pretty tired from it and my body aches at times. You will be SOOOO happy to get those hard TE's out in March

glad to hear we are moving along good. I am still getting herceptin every 3 weeks and waiting for reconstruction. Will the waiting ever end?
-
hey beautiful ladies, how is everyone doing?
-
hey shelabela,
i am ok. implants feel heavy still . thats my biggest issue right now.. plus frozen shoulders... how’s everybody??
-
Greetings all! I was more of a lurker throughout our shared experience [dx and surgery within days of shelabela and kae_md99] but still feel connected to you all. Happy to report that I've healed fairly well, and am pretty much living my life with a new appreciation for just about everything - and feel joy in everyday experiences. AI has caused some joint issues, but, like most everything else, it's doable. Hope everyone is doing well!

i have been feeling good. Recovered pretty good, no surgery issues, rads went ok, now taking tamoxifen and the SE suck, my exchange is scheduled for July 19th. And i have no dr appointments till then. I am not sure i know what to do without weekly appointments.
Glad to hear you 2 are doing ok

Hello everyone. I hope this finds you doing well. I have been following this for some time but haven't been on for a while now. I was waiting to see how my appointment with the oncologist, would go today. Unfortunately, though my tumor markers we're down in February six weeks after completing radiation therapy, they are now up and the C15-3 is in the abnormal range. A repeat chest, abdomen, and pelvic CT scan is being ordered, and this time they are adding a CT scan of the brain. Has anyone experienced this, and how concerned should I be? I was told in February that I only had a 4% chance of reoccurrence and I was cancer free. My oncologist doesn't want to say anything more until she gets results. I may have to wait up to a month for the scans
