I’m 32. Found a lump on “feel it on the first”. It’s shaped almost like a bowling ball pin. Hard. Doesn’t move. I️ had a diagnostic mammogram and us on Thursday and was told to follow up with breast clinic Wednesday. What are the chances this is malignant. Having bad anxiety over here. Thankfully my husband is amazing and keeps calming me down

The chances of it being malignant are very low given your age, like less than 10%.  It is good your husband is helping you through your anxiety.  You've done what you needed to do, now go on with your life.  Yes, I know waiting sucks.

There is no way to be certain by feeling the lump. Actually the doctor that examined me thought my lump was benign and it could easy be the other way around. No one here can tell you what your lump is. We all know the pain of waiting though.

Lumps feel very different - benign and malignant. Waiting is the worst.

    Sending my best to you!

So my appointment was moved up to today. Turns out they didn’t send me to a breast clinic, instead it was a general surgeon who didn’t do anything. He told me exactly what radiology did. “Probably benign” get another ultrasound in one month. I asked for my reports. Studied them and found birad rating 3 (which is good, right). I am ‘heterogeneously dense breasts”. There is a low density asymmetry in the right breast at 10 o’clock mid depth. Ill defined area of faint increased density in the subcutaneous fat. So I’ll just wait another month for the follow up ultrasound and take it from there. Thanks everyone :

Glad to hear your good news, yes birads 3 means they'll keep an eye on it.
