hi ladies

I just had first of 4 doses of Dose Dense Taxol on Wed. Felt tired Thurs but no real nausea. Fri had my neulasta shot at 8.30am. Pretty bad fatigue hit by lunch time but then last night had awful bone pain, hips, legs, arms, pretty much everywhere. Anyone else experienced this on DD Taxol ? Very fatigued still so trying to rest today but feel a bit blind sided by the pain.

yes! I guess the neulasta makes it worse but I never really had a problem with neulasta during the AC. But taxol was rough for a couple days, my teeth would even hurt! Treatment was wed and by thurs on the aches would set in. Friday was the worst, I felt like I was 80 years old and I'm only 38. Still hurt Saturday and by Sunday started to feel better.

    Hang in there!

jnnmn7. Thanks for reply. I've pain everywhere, like all my bones, including skull, but especially larger bones..hips back, legs etc. Hoping it starts to lift tomorrow. Did you find any useful ways to alleviate it?

I'm 39. I find it lonely being only one of my group of friends going through this. I find BCO great though, I'm not only person in my 30's whose teeth hurt!!

When I was going thru chemo the nurses said to use Claritin for bone pain with neulasta. I did use it but still hurt....probably took the edge off. Try it out and tell MO. They can give you pain meds for relief. ((Hugs))

I also get bad bone pain with the Taxol. I’ve found it’s best if I consistently take Tylenol the day after chemo until the days I get my worst side effects, then I switch to Percocet. Keeping pretty warm also helps— I sleep with a hot water bottle or heating pad at night. My MO also recommended hot baths

Advil and Claritin worked for me. It didn't completely take away the ache, but it did make it tolerable. I started the day before and just took it around the clock. My MO said it was best to stay ahead of that bone pain.
