Empty Tissue Expanders

due to a breast reduction 20 years ago, my PS opted to place but not fill my TE. My bmx was theee weeks ago and my first fill is 11/20. Now that my drains are removed I notice that my Empty TE are more settle and even project a bit at the bottom and I am worried they moved. Has anyone noticed that their TE were more pronounced a thing the bottom? That area is still very sore for me as well but it seems that they are very pronounced. Even empty. Thanks

    Hi there. My expanders were filled with 200 ccs at the time of surgery and 150 ccs were removed few days following due to complications and was almost empty. My right expander definitely protruded out at the bottom and was a bit painful but as I got going with the fills, it filled out nicely. I'm sure yours will as well. :)))

    thank you cupcakez. I️ keep finding myself asking “is this normal”. This whole bc adventure has stirred up my already anxious mind. I️ should just accept that nothing is normal and go with it. Ha. Thanks for your reply.

    oh yes!! nothing is normal!! I told my nurse over the phone my expander was protruding out, and she thought I meant protruding out of my skin. lol.... caused a complete panic but the doc took one look and was like oh, yeah, that's totally normal. o.O

    omg that is hilarious. I told them there was a hole in my skin. It was a dark black bruise. They must see it all. Hahahah
