Hitting a nerve during blood draw or injection

This really isn't a MBC or stage IV specific topic but I wasn't sure where to post it.  Since most of my communications are with my fellow metsters I figured I'd post here anyway.  If you are not Stage IV or do not have MBC please still feel free to post to this topic.

Since we have our blood drawn so often and we are getting injections for various scans the odds that we are going to get a needle to a nerve are higher than the average person.  I've had it happen several times but the most recent instance was last week and I'm still feeling a weird sensation in my wrist.  Has anyone been dinged in the nerve with a needle and had short term or long term pain from it?  Did you find anything to help?
