    Toni call your doc.

Use this as your guiding decision maker for the future.

" If you haven't a clue about what is going on, call your doctor."

He did an ecography and said that there was no much fluid and that draining could cause infection.. but that was 3 days ago and boob still huge

I’m so sorry to hear this. Makes me reconsider my campaign to have my last two removed.

Toni, Doc's are required to leave someone on call. But you have been going on with this since Nov 5th. That's 2 days. Now perhaps 3 days.

Have you called his number. Usually an answering service answers after hours. They will then give the message to the doctor on call. Seriously, it's a rule, doc's have to leave someone on call.

If you feel that you need to go to the ER, do so. The ER will have a Plastics guy on call. The ER doc will not touch you, because you are considered a plastic surgery case. They would be to afraid of messing something up.

Some signs and symptoms to look for

Oral Temperature That would indicate a system wide infection

Pain that is highly unusual for you, that you just can't stand it. Your self report on this is important.

Breast is hot can be indicative of an infection----lay your hand on the breast, compare it to the other breast. Warm well nothing much, if you can say it's much warmer/hot than the normal breast that's trouble.

Those are the three biggest symptom/signs to look for. Sorry you are going through this. Sucks

Toni , I just looked at where your from. You are in Argentina. I quoted USA rules. Sorry. I will bring back a couple of links That may help, but not much really, but you can pick and choose info.

Did they have you in a binder after surgery?

Look, I'm a continent away, you need doctor consultation as you may have inflammation, a seroma(build up of blood or fluid). You said the echography/ultrasound was three days ago. HAS IT GOTTEN BIGGER SINCE THEN

    Watching for your response

Toni. This is not a thread I created, but I did a lot of work on it. The first page has a lot about evaluation of the breast. It's mixed information after that. Scan it and find what's useful to you.

    https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/44/topics/754935?page=1

The next link is about pain info and other stuff. The pain info is on the first page. The rest of the stuff is not useful to your case.

Toni, this is a link to Pain and Other Things. I'm an old nurse. This info is things I've learned along the way. Also, others have requested advice.

For you at the moment, you want to look at the first page pain info. Not the first post on historical info. Go to the next post on how to rate your pain.

If your pain is in the 8-10 range go to the emergency room.

Your watermelon breast can be from several origins. Depending on your self evaluation, you may need to go to the ER. Not being familiar with your hospital system, I don't know if that's the right suggestion.

At least PM me your phone number. Maybe I can call.

Toni, it's 3 am here, I will continue to look for a response. Until I just have to go to bed. and then I will tell you so.

Argentina, I'm guessing you are about 2-3 hours behind my time zone. I can find that out on the net. I'm in Florida EST

What I need to know from you is do you think you are in trouble tonight? Do you need me to stay with you? Do you need to go to the emergency room? Sweetie, you got an old nurse worried now, so let me now what your decisions are.......

Well, completely off the clock on time, you are 2 hours ahead of my time. We have this really stupid change of time every year., but doesn't matter. I'll stick around for awhile and then I'll tell you when I sign off.

Key factor to remember is: If you think you are in trouble and you can't get a hold of your doc go to the ER.

No clue how your medical system works, if that creates a cost that isn't covered.......sorry. Here, if you say the right words Like worst pain ever, OR this feels like it's going to burst because of the pressure----it would be covered.

Toni, you sound better today. Glad you think the boob is okay. With the wound thread I linked, there is a lot of info to evaluate the site.

I will watch this for postings or if you have questions PM me.

    Hugs sassy
