I recently had lumpectomy and my dr called needing to talk to me about one of the pathology findings,should I be concerned because I always heard if the dr calls personally its bad

I would think you would hear personally from your doctor about pathology following lumpectomy. Is this a phone call in advance of a regularly scheduled follow-up appointment after surgery? Did they say they'd give you the results in the office but are instead calling you?

I agree, I wouldn't read anything into the doctor being the one to call. Each facility has it's own protocols about who is able to give results.
