*Good Morning Hermits*
We continue to have lovely Fall weather in the North Country.
Our last bunch of grape tomatoes ripening in the house!

*Good Morning Hermits*
Jazzy,
I'm always pleased to see the interesting photos taken during your travels!
I managed to read 1 novel during the Summer.
I am a tick magnet with 3 tick bites...Spring-1 Summer-1 Fall-1. Husband nagged me until seen by PCP and had a blood test with okay results......no lyme disease. Really not a problem in the North Country, but so many ticks this year.
The following 2 pics were taken from Facebook.
My favorite Fall pic of a paper wasp nest high up in a tree was taken by a neighbor on a Fall walk.
This pic of a paper wasp nest only 3 feet off the ground was also taken in the North Country.
We've had a lovely Fall.
We could all use a mild Winter! -

Jazzy, enjoying the pumpkin butts pic! ;o))
A neighbor posted the following spider webs in a barn pic on Facebook.
-
Teka- Eeek! A friend here who grew up in Texas told me the black widows used to build these big webs in their barn and the lizards would get stuck and then it was all over. She said once she saw a tiny spider wrap a large lizard in it's web when stuck brought a whole new respect for the black widow. There are lots of them out here in the west (and yes, been seen by me many times.....)
-
Teka: are they webs real?? What kind of spider builds a web that big?
Here in Canada, the webs are smaller and alot more fragile and thinner. Our spiders are not giants... big sometimes, but not giants.
I am so grateful for this because I have a spider phobia.

I do believe the spider webs are covered in dust (hay and manure) which makes them look awesome. ;o))
I've on morning walks seen dew covered spider webs on dead trees that also looked awesome.
-
nice... they are beautiful picturesque things as long as I see them from a distance LOL
-
Election Day felt like the start of winter weather in the North Country.
-
Here too Teka. We had wet snowflakes Tuesday night.
-
Our first major snowfall is expected late this afternooon
Winter is on the way

Jazzy and wallan, looks cuddly!?
I was asked by NativeMainer on the *how about drinking?* thread............
Are you nearsighted enough to be that kitty's cat lady this winter?
Yes! ;o))
-
Teka- no petting attempts this way. I saw that comment on the drinking thread.....
-
A prelude to Thanksgiving next week.
;o)) -
