edited November 2017 in Waiting for Test Results

hi I am not new to this site, but I haven't been on for about 8 years. I was diagnosed almost 10 years ago (on my 40th bday) that I had triple negative BC on my left breast. I was treated with chemo and radiation (lumpectomy) and have been doing quite well. Fast foward to now (almost my 50th bday) and a routine MRI showed "linear nonmass enhancement" on my right side. All the research I have done on this is so confusing. I spoke to both my oncologist and breast surgeon who both say we will only know what it is after they receive the pathology report which I have an a biopsy scheduled for theis upcoming Wednesday

. This is different from 10 years ago a school I discovered lump. Now there is no lump.

Does anyone know what this type of diagnosis usually means? waiting is so stressful!! And I just feel the horrors of history repeating again (but the results may be worse)

Thank you!

I'm not sure if anyone knows but more results of the MRI came in "type 1 kinetics, T2 hyperintense". What does this all mean? All info on the internet seems to be fore radiologists and not regular people. There really should be some sort of dictionary.

Survivor, I'm sorry that no one has responded to you. I'm afraid that I'm not going to be able to give you much info on your kinetics pattern, but I do have a better site to explain breast mri contrast enhancement kinetics: http://breast-cancer.ca/kinmri/

Hopefully you'll get your report soon and it will better describe what's going on and what they are recommending. Sending you warm thoughts for b9 results!

Survivor,  how was your biopsy? Have you received results? Hoping you receive good news!

hi thanks for responding and for asking, I went in on this past monday and nothing was found on a mamo and sono, so my surgeon is scheduling me for an MRI where they can do a guided biopsy. I'm hoping for the best (like us all), so I am staying positive. Waiting stinks, but I should have something scheduled for next week.

    thank you again!!!
