Going in for Ultrasound and Mammogram in 2 days
Hi Everyone,
I am a 29 years old and about a month ago I found a lump on my left breast. Honestly, I think I had felt this lump over a year ago but brushed it off thinking that it was just fat. About a month ago I found it again but it is definitely larger and easier to find now. My husband was able to feel it too so I made an appointment. The doctor checked and confirmed that i have a lump. He is concerned because of my family history and because it doesn't feel like a cyst.
He immediately referred me to a "breast disease specialist." My new doctor scheduled me for an ultrasound and mammogram and a follow up appointment with her. This was all 2 weeks ago and now my tests are finally 2 days away. This has been the longest 2 weeks of my life. Luckily, the doctor said that I will know immediately what they find and if I will need a biopsy.
I'm not really sure why I'm even posting but I guess maybe it's just because I'm nervous and haven't really talked to anyone. I'm even more nervous because after my first appointment I found 2 smaller lumps and my left breast began making discharge. At first just a small clear discharge and then a little more but now brown.
Has anyone else gone through this so young? It's been hard to talk to anyone because I have a 2 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. All of my mom friends just have a hard time relating.
Thanks for listening.

I too have just joined this site..I have a lump I found in my right breast near my nipple in April 2016..I had to go through all the medi insurance to get from the regular practioner, referal to breast specialist.. I've had 2 of the 3D mammogram, 2 ultrasounds since..I joined this site to see if anyone knows of what else I can do to diagnose what I may have..Since the first lump, I have now have small lumps that have formed around the first larger lump..It is frustrating considering the symptoms are there and I feel like I'm getting a run around of no answers..I have this yr noticed discharge from that nipple..It started clear, to yellow, Brown and even red a few times..I feel like it is getting worse..My nipple can feel like it's on fire, the burning, stinging, itching happens off and on.My right arm pit will hurt and become swallon at times..I noticed you wrote of a brown discharge and lumps, if u can please tell me what they suggested you do..Breast specialist tells me to go to regulator practioner and then regular doc says he is not qualified in this area..medical imaging says I have very dense breast tissue and they see no problems..No one will tell me what to do with the lump and dismiss my pain..

I had 10 plus clean mammos since my early 30s at a same supposedly reputable place.I also had a gyn who did breast exams all that time. My issue is dense breasts. Other than indentation appeared approx 6 mos prior to DX, I had no other symptoms.
Find a new younger gyn or new Breast surgeon and ask for MRI script. If not go to new imaging place or get second opinion.
Don't wait please. Time is of the essence.
