Port Placement

How did you feel immediately after port placement? I have an appointment scheduled a few hours after my port placement and I'm trying to determine if it is realistic to keep the appointment. Will I feel well enough to sit in a chair for 2-3 hours approximately 5 hours after the port is placed

Hi. You will want to rest after the port placement. I recall an exhausting day.

I could not have managed an appointment after port placement. Pajamas and restwere it for me. The pain after my port was worse than the pain after my lumpectomy. Maybe the drugs weren't as good?
