First, breathe. Second, it's quite likely that your tissues are swollen from surgery, and very unlikely that your surgeon didn't excise the lump. You can call your surgeon's office to ask about the stitches. Don't poke it or you'll make it swell more :)

my scar is around my nipple and the lump was way above it so when I could still feel the lump I panicked as the lump I's in exactly the same place as before was the last thing I expected to feel to be honest x

Carly, keep your hands away from it and ask your Surgeon about it. It is very likely that your incision site was selected to make your scarring less conspicuous.

Try not to disturb the lump site, either. It is wounded in there, swollen, and trying to heal.

It's probably fluid built up in the surgical area...nature tries to fill a space so when they take tissue out fluid shifts in. That said, if you are worried call your surgeon. When is your post surgery follow up?

I don't have a follow up I don't think she said if it comes back as a fibroadenoma that's it I will be discharged and if it comes back as a phylodies I will have to go back in 6 months to make sure it's not come back, they used glue and disolvable stitches and on my discharge letter it says no follow up,I just expected it to be gone but nope still there 😭 I've rang the breast Care nurses and left a message for them to ring me back, I just don't want them to think I'm stupid plus I don't want the surgeon to think that I think she doesn't know what she's dping if you get what I mean, this is so stressfull xx

Nurses hear everything and certainly will not think your stupid. Stress is not good for healing so if you have a question that is causing you anxiety give them a call. You should also have some kind of follow up appointment.. even if it’s with your primary care physician. Good luck to you!

thank you everyone I'm so glad I found this group I've rang the nurses and she rang me back she said it is pretty normal as there will be hole where the lump was removed and that it will fill with fluid which can feel just like the lump I had before and if it''s not going down by tomorrow to give them a call and they will fit me in for them to have a look and if it is fluid they can drain it for me and have a good feel and make sure everything is normal to put my mind at ease
