Any tips for swollen fingertips from neuropathy?

I've completed four DD AC infusions, and 2 of my four DD taxol infusions. I've developed some neuropathy in my hands and feet. I'm not having any motor problems, just numbness, tingling, sensitive nails, and a little swelling in my fingertips. My cuticles look good, and there's no lifting from the nail bed. I'm currently taking metanx to see if that helps with the neuropathy.

When my MO examined my hands today he mentioned using tea tree oil if I start having cuticle problems, but I don't remember him suggesting anything for the swelling, even though he agreed that they are swollen. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips?

Lovepugs- I had lots of swelling after my first DD Taxol. Everything was swollen I found icing during chemo and after to help greatly the first two days. I used bags of frozen peas. I also was told to take more benadryl. I was not able to walk for abt 3 days. Had to keep feet and hands elevated The swelling is basically an allergic reaction. My MO actually reduced my dosage for the 2nd round because she felt it was too much swelling. Mine was bad for abt 3 days, then would get better. The 2nd round was much better.

I was told to use tea tree oil as well. I have lost several toenails :(.

I know this is an old thread, but many of us on taxol are having fingertips swelling and numbness SE. Would like to know beside taking B6, B12 and L- glutamine is there anything we can do to help the fingertips numbness?
