Lump on reconstructed breast post nipple/skin sparing mx

Hi ladies, I am new to this site and have been reading the many encouraging post. I thought I was done finding lumps, bumps etc. Since I now completed dbl mx. In 2014 I had a nipplesparing mastectomy on my left breast. About six months ago, I notice my breast was becoming discolored underneath my implant with tiny bumps and would itch occasionally. Two months ago, I began having a dull pain behind my implant and my nipple stayed sore. While I was massaging my nipple, I notice in the areola was a hard lump. I have an appointment to see the PS November 14th which is the first available date. I have been praying for peace and patience and will continue to do so but I'm really anxious! I'm massaging in case it's scar tissue but can't do anything about the dull pain behind the implant. My husband thinks I should stop massaging until I see the doctor. Any thoughts or suggestions. Thank you

Thank you for your reply! I even explained to the nurse how anxious I was and she said the PS was booked up til November 14th. Because I suffer from ptsd, when I'm not busy doing other things, I'm constantly checking it to see if I'm paranoid. I pray it's fat necrosis or scar tissue but that wouldn't explain the rash and the dull ache behind the implant. I've been exercising doing Jillian Michaels " six pack abs in six weeks" dvd to burn off anxiety. At this rate, at least I'll be ripped by the 14th Lol! Trying to keep a sense of humor

Thank you KBeee, I think I will call my PCP and see her to get an ultrasound. Then, by the time I see the PS I can move forward with testing. I thank God I do have a PCP that listens and address my concerns. It's amazing how when under stress you can't think sometimes. Thanks for replying. I'm calling her tomorrow!

I recently had testing for a lump behind the nipple. It did show on US, but that didn't give them much info - "biopsy or return in 3 months" was the answer. The radiologist ordered a 3D mammo and that seemed to confirm it was fat necrosis without a doubt.

I didn't even know they did mammo's with implants. I hope the MRI is helpful.

I haven't had any fat grafting. I did have quite a bit of trauma to that nipple with the MX - it was bruised, had bled, and had like a dent across it with the areola looking like two different colors for a bit.

It's not painful. You can kind of see it. I think that's what concerned the BS. They seemed pretty confident about the images, though.

Update! And nervous! Yesterday, Friday 24th a 7am I had my breast mri. Afterwards, I asked the technician how long would it be before I get the results? She said, because it's Friday, your doctor will have the results probably 3 to 4 business days. I said, that's fine. So last night, my husband said there were two messages on his phone from the Radiologist. (The hospital always uses my husbands number as primary since he is the insurance holder)first message the radiologist said, he had my results and I could page him. The second, saying, trying to reach you again I'm leaving for the day but the doctor has the results. Do radiologist usually call patients? I read, if the radiologist calls, something abnormal showed up. Is this to expedite the situation? What have been your experiences?
