Impression

IMPRESSION:
1. Probably benign fibroadenoma of the left breast. Please see above.

2. ACR BIRADS Category 3-Probably benign findings; short interval follow-up is
suggested.

Narrative

DIAGNOSTIC BILATERAL MAMMOGRAM

INDICATION:
Bilateral breast lumps.

BREAST DENSITY:
C-The breast tissue is heterogenously dense. This breast density somewhat
limits the sensitivity of mammography for detection of neoplasm.

COMPARISONS:
None.

VIEWS:
Bilateral CC, MLO, ML tomosynthesis, bilateral X CC.

FINDINGS:
There is no abnormality in the right breast. On the left, there is a nodule in
the upper inner left breast, posterior third. This correlates with the palpable
abnormality. Further evaluation of both sides is recommended by ultrasound and
will be performed.

This exam was reviewed with the aid of CAD R2 DMV 8.7.

I opted to have a needle biopsy done.........

krys, sorry you're worried about your breast health and congrats on the BIRADS 3. The positive predictive value of that is less than 2%, which means that less than 2% of women with that score have bc. Hoping your biopsy confirms you are in the 98%!
