Switch to AI after 9 years on Tam?

Has anyone been on Tamoxifen for more than 5 years, then become menopausal, and had their oncologist advise switching onto an AI? I know there's data supporting switching after 5 years or less of Tam, but haven't seen any data on my situation. I have an appointment coming up and expect to be deemed menopausal. My oncologist told me last time he'd want me to switch to an AI when I became menopausal, but my previous oncologist (I moved) feels I should just stop the Tam and not take an AI. Would be keen to hear of anyone's experiences with this! If it matters, my cancer was stage 1, E+, Pr+, Her2-. I had a double mastectomy (several small tumors) and had an Oncotype Dx score of 26. I was just shy of 40 when Dx'ed and had TC x 4. Thanks in advance for any input.

I just stopped tamox after nearly 3 years. Was planning to go on an AI. I am 54 and my period came roaring back. I don't think they do a good job of declaring a woman in menopause based on hormone levels while on tamox. Mine were up and down while on tamox.
