Curious what other TN are getting for chemo.

Mine is AC, every other week, 4 times. Then 6 times taxol, every 3 weeks.

I see many others getting weekly taxol, so I wonder why some MO have a different treatment plan. Not that I want more chemo but sure what it to work!!

I am proposed to do 4ACT dose dense, although I am not sure about Taxol, as it shown only 3 % difference in comparison with AC only and have a lot of bad (may become permanent) issues, as neuropathy.

Hi - I just finished dd AC. I just started weekly Taxol - 12 weeks. My MO said weekly Taxol is just as effective as dd - the only people at my center who get dd Taxol do so for travel reasons - some people travel hours to get here. I've only had one Taxol infusion, but much easier for me than AC. Hope this helps

Thanks for the input VL22. We live about 30 minutes away but I really liked my husband there with me today which means 1/2 off from work for him.

Member66, I know being triple negative there are not a lot of treatment options. My understanding chemo, surgery and radiation only. So it seems like they throw the chemo book at us

I did 4 AC and 12 weekly Taxol. My oncologist told me the low dense weekly has less side effects. I still ended up with neuropathy. It has gotten better since being off chemo, but still there.

I am 32 and a momma of 6. I was diagnosed with TNBC 8/22/17 2 days after my son's first birthday and 6 days before mine. I had a bilateral mastectomy 9/18. Negative nodes, no lymphovascular invasion. 1.9cm mass with no other spots of cancer in my breast. Stage 1A Grade 3. BRCA1+. I am scheduled to do 4DD A/C then 4DD Taxol. Because I am BRCA1 positive I am considering not doing the Taxol as it's been said that BRCA1 TNBC is not very responsive to Taxol so the side effects may outweigh the benefits. How is everyone's treatment going? Anyone else BRCA1 positive?
