Hi Groovywilma - if you want to be a baby tiger caregiver, check out this pic - we got to work with an amazing female white tiger on set. Glorious animal.
She could down a lot of milk and pull that bottle hard. Please feel better Lita. -
Lita if you run out of cleaning to do at your place, you can take a little trip out to the desert and clean mine.
-
Lalady1! What a cool tiger picture! Thanks for sharing!
Lita: Hope you are feeling well rested and strong today!
Everyone: Have a lovely Fall weekend!
-
Groovy, that is one big energy high to do all those theme parks. wishful thinking for me! I love Disneyland! I am actually on Abraxane not Taxol but still get the steroids.
Lita, that cake sounds sooooo good! I'm like Wendy, afraid to bake too much as I do have a sweet tooth.
Cool tiger Claire!
Lita, good girl for getting out and walking. I went out shopping with DH today to get some errands done. The neuropathy had me dragging and wobbling but I stuck with it. Want to get back to normal walking so bad.
-
Sad to hear that abraxane causes neuropathy, too, Artist .
All dressed up to go to Jeanne's memorial service in San Jose. I haven't worn a skirt in YEARS. She was Dx'd with brain mets 2 mos b4 I was, and sadly passed away Sep 22, right after I finished WBR. She was a sweet, loving woman. The church was packed, and late-comers had standing room only. Lovely service, lots of singing. She will be dearly missed.
-
Wow! Beautiful pic Lita! You are a woman with style I must say. You are also one stoic woman to get yourself to another memorial. I get way too emotional these days, I just can't handle it. Thank god there hasn't been one in my circle for awhile. Maybe I need to get back to church. I could use some spiritual up-lifting.
Yes the damn neuropathy, I may decline Tx again on the 17th if this doesn't clear up. It's wearing on me a lot especially the nerves in the hands. I ask myself daily if it is worth it...

That's a baby tiger? What does mama look like?

So sorry for the loss of your friend to this crap disease. You are an incredibly strong person. Thank you for sharing that strength with us!
You look beautiful. Loving that wig!
-
Lita, I just wanted to say that I am sorry to hear about your progression, i just found out. I haven't checked in much since elimar went away from her thread, so kind of somehow missed what was happening with you... in that picture from the memorial, you have about a ten-thousand- watt smile, your inner light shines right through your whole face!
Yikes. I think the steroids were my favorite part of chemo, for sure. I can always use an excess of energy, the problem was keeping focus for me. I am glad that we have the great women of BCO, surrounding you with love & caring support, and wanted to offer you my regards as well. I do hope that is not a clot in your thigh, but don't want it to be anything dreadful, either!
-
Lita, been checking in on you. Love your pics and I agree you are a ray of sunshine that won’t stop shining for anything. You definitely have a lot of inner strength and inspire all of us. Keep shining my friend and I will keep praying for you and all the others. Hoping you are having a good day.
-
Lita,
Sending hugs your way! Love your smile. Your friend's family appreciated your presence more than you know
-
Lita so sorry about your friend. I must say you look mahvelous

Lita. You are a very amazing woman. Sending good thoughts your way.
-
Bosum - she was only caged during transport/and for her brief performance. She and her mother live in a lovely estate in Malibu.
Lita - you look like an advertisement for autumn. Fall is coming, I just wish things were different - f@ cancer.
-
Iita, how are you doing? Are the lesions responding to the treatment? I keep waiting for that new drug or miracle treatment. With all the research and money going into bc I pray we'd see results.
Don't mean to intrude on stage 4 thread but I want to scream for help. We need better treatment.
-
Out for a walk with Sofia. I have to use my rolling walker because I'm having numbness and neuropathy on my right side. Not sure if it's cuz of the brain mets, or tumors in my lower spine. Next brain MRI sched'd for Nov, and next PET for Dec, so I'll have to wait until then and pray that my weekly Taxol infusions have some impact.

Lita would that not be a 'Stroller Roller?' ..... Make hay while the sunshines Gurl.

Worst diarrhea ever last night. Thank God I was wearing Depends (er...the Safeway generic brand).
I know, TMI, but I totally FILLED the diaper when I stood up from a chair. Just could NOT make it in time. That was the first time in my life that that has ever happened to me...well, maybe since I was an infant/toddler .
Nothing changed from last infusion to this week's, except they did the push a little faster. Ate like I had the stomach flu the b4 and the day of, so that wouldn't have caused the problem. So, i will call the onco nurses on Tuesday and let them know to extend the drip for next Wed. Oh, and they will also be infusing me with my quarterly Zometa next week, too. That will have an impact, I'm sure.
Maybe I should "pre-medicate" with Imodium b4 I go in, too.

if it makes you feel any less alone, I too messed myself last night. Third time I have poopedmyself this year :-(
-
(((Lita))), so sorry that happened to you -- and to you, too, Jen! Sometimes reactions to meds can be so unpredictable. Glad you were prepared! Hope things have settled down for both of you today.
-
Joining in to say how sorry I am that happened to both of you. Such a humiliating thing. I sure hope things improve for both of you. Holding you in prayer everyday.
-
OMG I give my right arm for diarrhea right now. I've been constipated from the chemo treatments for a week now.
>Z<
-
Z, I've been having that problem too. I think mine is from pain meds. I might as well be passing concrete, sometimes I'm afraid of damage to the bowl, lol. While I was in the hospital, they gave me an unbelievable amount of meds to clear that up. So far, hasn't affected it. They sent me home with 2 prescriptions for constipation. So far only concrete balls. Yes, diarrhea would be a blessing.
-
lita and Jen. Had one of those "I thought it was has" moments last month. No depends on and we had someone visiting at the time. Had to yell to my husband from the bathroom to have him come help me. Visitor made a quick exit.
-
Isn't it amazing how these treatments either cause us constipation or diarrhea. Tuesday night when I undressed after work I had poop in my pantries and I never knew it happened!
Yuck

This is just TOO hilarious.
Here we all are, discussing poopy panties!

Limotil is our friend, that's for sure! So sorry this happened Lita, Jen, JFV & Babs. One of the 2 chemo treatments I had for Hodgkin's Lymphoma years ago did that to me. Totally explosive diarrhea without any warning - in fact I'd just stood up from peeing and was washing my hands when it happened. Thankfully I was so high on the feel good meds that I remember very little of it. I did lose my favorite pair of pants over it though :-( After that max dose Limotil before chemo and another dose after I got home hours later.
Hopefully we'll be able to look back and laugh about it one day.In the meantime just tell any visitors "Oops! That Alli weight loss drug I took wasn't kidding when they recommended wearing dark pants!"
-
taxol did the same thing to me! Half my day was spent in the bathroom ...and I took the max dose of lomotil every day! I have gone back and forth through the years between the big d and constipation. I firmly believe our gi tracts are never the same after chemo💩💩💩 i’ve had many accidents...thrown away a lot of clothes! Sorry Lita. It’s no fun, with or without company
-
Had many of these yucky episodes. Thank goodness for Depends although they are not foolproof. On a particularly bad day I headed for the bathroom. Got there but had that horrible feeling I was out of time. Right down my legs (this time the depends didn't catch it), over my socks and all over the floor. How humiliating....I didn't even want to call my hubby for help. Started trying to clean up but slipped in the soupy mess. TMI! Didn't get hurt at all. Just cried and laughed at the same time........my brain was so totally out of it. Eventually I managed to clean up, got in the shower. When I was done I wrapped my clothes in a ball and threw them away. Don't think I will ever forget that fiasco.....probably my lowest point. Just felt defeated. The next day my onc got an earful. Told him he gets paid royally for taking care of me - that I didn't think slipping around on sh** was part of a workable treatment plan so he better put his thinking cap on & figure this out. I am normally fairly soft spoken but not this time. The doc looked shocked but did give me a plan to follow that kept me off the bathroom floor so we were friends again. Haha! I am amazed that I now can laugh at what once was a super traumatic event. Good luck to all struggling sisters & don't ever buy Depends that are too big! Gentle hugs

Oh my Juli24- that is definitely an unforgettable experience! I was going to share my stinky pants episode- but would be very humdrum after reading yours. Juli you win the "Poopy Prize"! LOL
