I met with my breast surgeon on Monday. He was a little concerned about making sure that the blood flow to the tissue would be there in adequate for him to do the reconstruction in the same surgery as the mastectomy.

Hi Kahnartist. Did you meet with a plastic surgeon? Because I want to avoid the TE and I want the direct implant over the pectoral instead of under. I can ask... right. My breast surgeon was concerned about blood flow too.

The plastic surgeon was the one that gave me options and what could happen the day of surgery.

I had the same issue-had a reduction in 2006. My PS was able to place TE's, but there were some issues with blood flow along the incisionand so had some skin necrosis. It was pretty minor overall-the rt side resolved and the left had to be cleaned up when they placed my port. Hopefully you will sail through-it slowed down my fills, but am back on track now. Good luck!
