Concerned if hip/back pain is an indication of bone mets

Options

Hi All... I have a question about bones mets.

For the last couple of weeks I have had a dull kind of pain in both hips when I first get out of bed and move around and it sometimes feels like my nerves are on edge. The pain subsides when:

- With movement

- With rest

It comes and goes and some days are better than other days with little or no pain at all. If I flex my back I can feel tinges of pain in my lower back.

I can exercise, cardio dance, kickboxing and do upper body/lower body ST with no problem. I walk about 30 minutes after work and carry bags on both shoulders... within the past 2 weeks some days the pain is there when I walk and gets better... and ... some days it gets worse... but... when I get home and rest the pain goes away.

I have had no problems with arthritis but I know that within the last 3 weeks I have been carrying heavy bags from grocery shopping home a few times and felt a twinge of pain in my lower back... it was after carrying the heavy groceries that the pain started a few days later but I don't know exactly how many days passed before I started feeling it more often.

I am an 11 year breast cancer survivor as of July.2017... Stage II... I am worried that the cancer may have spread to my hips/bones.

Does anyone here have bones mets and if so, would you be able to tell me:

- what symptoms you experienced

- was the pain worse with movement, with rest, etc.

I see my doctor on October 7th for my annual check-up ... do you recommend that I ask her if she would schedule a Pet/MRI or whatever kind of scan I need to rule out if I have bone mets or if this is arthritis?

Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post. ~ Dee
