    Hello mockingbird

It is overwhelming but doable. I too had similar diagnosis. I started chemo on 9/13 . My next treatment is scheduled for 9/27 . I thank God for family, friends and the school where I teach is so supportive. What keeps me going is my faith and seeing my students.

Chemo may take a little out of you but you will bounce back, get your fighting spirit ready and just fight like you've never fought before,. Rest when you can, eat what you can and PLEASE take your meds exactly as your doctor prescribes to you. Vent when you are angry, cry but remember who holds you.

I also have triple negative IDC. I found a lump in my breast that turns out to be a 2.6cm tumor and MRI showed another behind it.

Starting chemo soon and then I chose to get a bi lateral mastectomy. I have a benign condition in my other breast and I just don't want to take the chance that it is not benign. Especially since these tumors were not seen on my last 3D mammogram at the end of January

    Hi,

On 9/11 I got the news that I had ILC and 4 days later was told that it was triple negative. My oncologist didn't trust those results so I ended up getting a second biopsy of the same tumor. The pathology of the new biopsy was done there are Sloan Kettering. Today I found out they diagnosed IDC, still triple negative (no ILC cells detected.) This was good news for me because I've been told that IDC will respond better to chemo than ILC. I'm trusting the new biopsy report since it's in-house at the hospital where I'm being treated.

Today was my first day of chemo.

Here's to all us triple negative IDC people!
