Hi Mudd, this can be very over whelming! This is a great place to come and start getting empowered! Welcome.

Do you have any additional information from your patholgy report? How where you diagnosed? MRI, biopsy?

    Watching for an update. :)

Hi Mudd, there are so many different kinds of characteristics of a tumor it is impossible for anyone here to give data (never mind a prognosis) of types of cancers until you find out more information from your doctor. Once you find out the characteristics and stage of your cancer a discussion with your doctor is a good place to start. You can also research information and find much on this site. Just remember when you are looking at data, it only provides statistics on a large group of people and each of us our individuals, so data doesn't tell the whole story.

Hi Mudd, it sounds like maybe the IDC-invasive ductal carcinoma page might be a good starting point. https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/96

Is someone with you? Or is there someone you can call? It's a good time to just have some there, no need to explain just someone to cry with. Hugs

mudd, sorry you found yourself here. You will likely be getting more testing done to find out what kind of treatment will be recommended for your type of cancer. Based on that information and the treatment you chose, you will have a general idea of a prognosis. Hang in there! You have a lot of support here, so come back as often as you need to!:) Happy Birthday and Best wishes.
