Hip & pubic bone pain
I hope I'm posting in the right place. I'm new. Anyway, I have had right hip pain for over a year, at first they told me I had a torn psoas muscle per PET/MRI report. I looked up the psoas tear and that should have healed within 6 weeks. My hip is still killing me and now the pain is also in my pubic bone. I was sent to my ortho who said I did not have a tear, but the pain is from scholiosis in my lumbar spine with bone spurs and canal narrowing. I was dx today with spina bifida occulta. I had hot spot on my right hip on PET. X-ray & CT show no cancer. I'm getting really worried because I'm starting to limp now. The pain is horrible. How do I get my onco to do a bone biopsy? And do I even need to be worried? My onco told me years ago that it's not.a matter of "if", but WHEN the cancer comes back. I also have found bb sized knots near my scar but they don't show on an ultrasound Thank you in advance for any input!

I know you're new. If you put your stats in your signature line, it can help us understand your history.
Why did your doc say it's not if, but when it recurs? No one knows that unless you were already stage IV. That was very irresponsible to say. I know several stage 3C gals that have been cancer free for many years.
I would request a second opinion to get a fresh set of eyes on everything. I think bone scan and PET show bone spots more accurately than X-ray or CT, but I could be mistaken. Keep us pisted

HI if you have canal narrowing that sounds like spinal cord is impacted. This happened to me. I could not walk, bare weight on my leg , it was as if I had a broken hip. I was admitted for emergency surgery as the spinal cord was so compressed I could have had permanent nerve damage. I waited for ever and the pain, symptoms got worse before I saw a doctor . By that time I was in such bad shape that emergency surgery was the result. See a neurologist who specializes in disorders of the spine. That is who did my surgery. I came out of it with no pain, and able to stand and bare weight on my leg. it was scary. telling you my story as pain like that may not be mets and can be other issues like mine that cause major issues. good luck and keep us posted.

I have hard movable oblong knot on right rib approximately 1 & 1/2" long. X 1/2-3/4" wide. Had X-ray today. Have not gotten results. She said I might need US on it. Hurts bad to touch. Have another small one on my left rib. Anyone have signs like these and I've heard about subcutaneous skin mets. Anyone know signs, symptoms, how they feel, movable? Any information very much appreciated!!
