Just got this from an email from Kraft Foods. I made it tonight and everyone loved it! I used a ziploc bag to toss instead of a bowl...makes easier cleanup. You can also get them together the night before I would guess.
Un-fried French Fries
Prep Time: 15 min
Total Time: 39 min
Makes: 6 servings, about 2/3 cup each
1-1/2 lb. baking potatoes (about 3 medium)
1/4 cup KRAFT Light House Italian Reduced Fat Dressing
1/4 cup KRAFT Reduced Fat Parmesan Style Grated Topping
PREHEAT oven to 425°F. Wash potatoes; pat dry with paper towels. Cut into 1/4-inch thick strips; transfer to large bowl. Add dressing and grated topping; toss well.
ARRANGE potatoes in single layer on large baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Spray potatoes with cooking spray.
BAKE 12 min. Turn potatoes over with large spatula. Continue baking 10 to 12 min. or until golden brown and crisp.
KRAFT KITCHENS TIPS
How to:
To easily cut potatoes into strips, slice potato in half lengthwise so it lays flat on cutting board. This will hold it in place as you cut.
NUTRITION INFORMATION
Nutrition Bonus:
Drive past the drive-thru and make these delicious, low-fat "fries" at home. You'll enjoy all the flavor without the fat of a fast food favorite.

-
Beth,
I am going to try these, they sound delicious.Thanks.
Lisa -
I just got my Kraft magazine yesterday and saw the fries. They look really good; I'll have to try them.
Margaret -
Girls, i made them and even my obstinate ss ate them..with ketchup of course. They turned out great. I JUST got my Kraft magazine today! How come? I need some good quick dinner ideas for when I get busier with work.
I also get the email from Kraft. Be sure to sign up for it on their website. -
Ok, I tried this but didn't have this page printed out and forgot the parm cheese!! Rats!!
They were good anyway but of course, like beth, I had to add something ... only for me it was dipping in mayonnaise! Hey, what if I fried them and used mayonnaise?? Still I shoulda skipped the mayo. -
WARNING: THIS IS A DANGEROUS RECIPE CAMOUFLAGED AS HEALTH FOOD!
I followed the directions (well, I let them cook a little longer and turned them more often so they were absolutely, deliriously browned and crispy), and the smell wafting from the kitchen was incredible. I took them out and tried one, filled a small bowl with them and went and sat down to read. Went back and refilled the bowl. The third time back I got a bigger bowl, and...
...ladies, I ate them ALL. -
Sounds good - I am a potato freak - think I'll have this for my whole dinner tonight! Follow up with some oreo's and milk (need at least one healthy item)
-
There was also a recipe for sweet potato unfried fries cooked pretty much the same way in the same magazine. I thought I'd try to do both tonight - what do you think? I've already got my unfried chicken coated and sitting in the frig for tonight.
Margaret -
I tried these fries last night (didn't do the sweet potato ones) and my son came out of his bedroom and asked what I was cooking that smelled so delicious. He had a friend over so with the four of us, there were no fries left over. I think he did put some ketchup on them; usually he dips them in ranch dressing. He told me the recipe is a keeper.
Margaret -
Those sound good! I get those Kraft magazines too; I love them!

I ade the pasta/sausage/tomato/spinach dish last night. It was very good, quick, and easy.
