It's interesting that you mention Vit D levels. In my 30s I was dx'd as having low Vit D after a physical..I bought Vit D supplements but never ended up taking them..just upped my Vit D enhanced food list--yogurt, etc.
I also came across something on one of the breast cancer sites indicating low Vit D is associated with breast cancer..I'll have to do more research into that.
As for me, I was and am dealing with extreme fatigue. I can't tell you when it started, but I had one alarming incident where, my brand new cat I adopted was hiding under the bed. One minute I'm chatting with her, the next it's an hour later and somehow I fell asleep without realizing it. That was scary!
I'm 50 and haven't hit menopause yet so I just dismissed everything as me being pre-menopausal

I was diagnosed last week and for the last 5-6 months I have been exhausted. Like sleeping 10-16 hours a day on non work days. I thought I was just depressed but I am wondering if it was cancer. Needless to say, I am concerned that if this is how tired I am before surgery and any treatment, I fear what will happen to me after.
Good luck.

I had no symptoms whatsoever. I felt good, if a little tired from working full-time, full-time college student, wife, mother. All I had was a lump I saw in the mirror one day.

My only symptom was fatigue. I thought due to getting older, etc., and felt I was hiding a bit how tired I was because it was so unlike me. But guess what? I had MORE energy after BMX. Like right away after recovery more. So -- hoping that for you as well.

I’m sorry to reply to an old post. I just knew something was wrong. I felt so tired, lethargic and old, and lost all my enthusiasm for life. I spent a year having all sorts of tests to try and figure out what was wrong, never giving up. The nurse at the surgery noticed my nipple was not quite right. 5 weeks later WLE and nodalsurgery to remove 3cm estrogen rich, HER2 negative IDC (thankfully node clear). One month on and I feel like my old self - although obviously waiting for treatment that will make me a whole lot worse!! But yes, I’m 66, and I just knew!

I’m replying to an old post too. I don’t remember being fatigued but I did lose weight like almost overnight. I thought it was because I had cut out sugar. That does help but it never occurred to me the cause could be something serious.

It was a year from the time I found my lump until diagnosis. I was misdiagnosed originally. But, during that year I lost 30# very quickly, was very fatigued and was having extreme night sweats. Every one of those symptoms went away almost immediately after my bmx. However, I’m now 2 months out from bmx and am starting to feel very fatigued again. Trying to determine cause ie going back to work(I only took 3 weeks off) or tamoxifen.

Kls:
I was tired (or more so than normal) after BMX. Even though I had more energy in some way than before tumor removal.
Someone on here said that it takes a month for every hour you were under anesthesia to recover. And I believe her dad told her this, and he is a doctor. Makes sense.
