    Dear anxiousnelly,

We are sorry that you are dealing with such anxiety but glad that you reached out here. We imagine that the soreness could be related to a number of things but clearly once you have had cancer your anxiety is more likely to rise with an unexplained symptom. Might you consider reaching out to your medical team for some reassurance. Here is a link to information about short and long term effects of surgery - pain included. If you don't get any responses here you might try posting in another forum. Perhaps with a bit more information about your original diagnosis we could help to direct you to a place to post. The Mods

I had a lumpectomy in my left breast which included removal of 8 lymph nodes on Dec 22,2016. Started radiation in Febuary. Now, 4 months out from radiation & O MY! I had normal pain after surgery but about 2 months afer radiation.. OUCH! They tell you the radiation will be administered to the site of tumor removal & the immediate site around it. NOT true! I have pain in both breast & across my chest. ( Every area where I was burned with the radiation) I had NO pain anywhere prior to all of this, except in my right breast when my cysts were acting up near my period.

I am sorry that anyone is having to experience this years later.
