Got the call....
Hi everyone, I just got the call this morning that I have grade 3 IDC. So far it's small and hasn't spread from what they can tell. I meet with. my oncologist on Monday to learn more, and of course more test. This isn't my first go around with cancer, I lost my right let to bone cancer at 14 and had it in my lungs at 16. Feeling so angry that I have to go through this again at 33 with 3 kids under 7.
Just want to say Hi and find a place to connect .

Oh mermaidmom, welcome to BCO, although I am so very sad that you've joined our ranks - not your first rodeo indeed. This really is a great place to connect, ask questions and get support. There are a few forums that you might find useful (if you haven't already found them). There is the IDC forum (of course), but if you have either triple negative or Her2+, there are specific forums for those. There are surgery, chemo and radiation forums and groups that form with women going through similar treatments at the same time. You also might want to look into the Young with breast cancer forum where you might find women who are also dealing with having young children at home, fertility preservation or other younger age issues. sending you warm wishes and gentle ((Hugs))

Mermaidmom, so sorry you find yourself dealing with cancer yet again. Hugs to you and hope that rest of the news is better when all results are back.

Sorry you are here, Mermaidmom. But know you will get a lot of support from ladies here. You are already a warrior. Once you get all the details together on treatment plan you should feel more on top of things. This community is so helpful if you have any questions. Best of luck in results and all your decisions!

mermaidmom ....Life just isn't fair. You have every right to be angry . Hope you have support this weekend . Once you have a plan, the feelings do get easier to handle ...you might have complex emotions and it may also be helpful, if you think it might be , to have a counselor for any post traumatic stress type feelings that might arise given that this is the second time in life you are having to deal with hearing this diagnosis. I have found it very helpful to have counseling, so just a suggestion if social worker, counseling services are available through your doctor . We are all here for you.
