How do you fit Rogaine into your hair styling routine?

My hair is thinning due to Tamoxifen. I'm considering using Rogaine. The directions say I can apply after towel drying my hair. Do you have to let it dry before using styling products or blow drying? How long does it take to dry? And does it make your hair look greasy or stiff? What time of day do you use Rogaine?
Anyone have any luck with Nioxin, or have any other suggestions?
