Anyone use it? Research it?

I want to start it, to just keep everything at bay. I was told by one lady that you shouldn't use it during chemo.

I dont want to get high... can I get CBD oil without the high effect?

Im doing some research, but Im sure someone is knowledgeable here!

I bought some CBD oil for pain, tastes dreadful but did help with neuropathic pain.

You definately won't get high from it.

I have had it in edibles but it is important to ask for cbd only and not thc if you wish to avoid the high. The best place I have heard to find more information on this type of treatment is the recent breakthrough treatments for children and seizure disorders but it is still pretty controversial and varies state to state for the laws on it.

I am stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma and I have found the pure plant material most effective for my ptsd and cancer and no more debilitating than any of the other drugs I have to take with much less side effects than the prescriptions designed to treat the same symptoms.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you find the relief you seek I will be praying for you

The use of CBD oil helps reduce the side effects of chemotherapy. I personally have done very well. But that's something you should check with your doctor or someone specializing in the subject to avoid problems.

I read this article about the CBD and its very interesting.

I have looked into it, and it seems to me that the evidence for an anti-cancer effect is still lacking. It seems pretty well established that various marijuana products can help against pain, insomnia and anxiety for many people. When it comes to treating cancer, however, I am not convinced, and I worry that we don't know enough about what it does in the body if you have ER+ breast cancer.

I use CBD oil for the pain caused by the surgery and rads I had. It doesn't make me high at all. I have found it does take the edge off of the serious pain I have.

Momine, is CBD oil considered a phyto-estrogen? Yikes!

IAmElaine, I have seen some stuff suggesting that it might be. I emphasize "might". Besides we don't actually understand well what phyto-estrogens do or don't do vis-a-vis ER+ cancer. In general I just think we need more research on hemp oil and need to understand exactly what it does.

Ive been doing a lot of research on CBD. I have not taken it because I'm still going though Chemo. Just finished my AC, and will start Taxol next week.

From my understanding, the CBD is fine to take with ER+

It's the THC you have to be careful of. It's recommended you take CBD:THC 3:1.

If you do not have ER+ it's recommended to take 1:1.

I will start CBD alone after Taxol, and introduce THC at a later date :-)

Based from a research I read, CBD oil reduce the growth and development of cancerous cell. The scientist are doing further research to prove that CBD can be used to cure cancer. Hope this will be successful to reduce the number of breast cancer cases that have reached over 2 million last 2018. If you have time, read more about CBD oil, this page) have a good explanation about CBD. Hope this is helpful.

i have never used CBD oil in any form as i am not really sure about the effects it might have on my body as i am teetotaller. But i can send this on account of my aunt that CBD Oil is beneficial as it was for her. She had come to visit us and brought some CBD Oil with her which she said she used to combat pain due to the side effects of chemotherapy. I did ask her if this oil has been approved by her doctor to which she said that no doctor will prescribe this ever so she is taking it without the doctors consent but there's another thing, she is using a topically applied product and thus it doesnt get directly in her body system so there are no chances of systemic effects. she is just using it topically and thus it is much safer than using it in any other form and i cant agree on it more. as you know i am an avid reader and researcher so i have found a few articles related to the topic and i hope they are useful to you. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/?term=cbd+oil, https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/317221.php, https://www.voiceofcancerpatients.com/article/benefits-of-marijuana-in-cancer. Hope they were helpful to you to decide on which form of CBD is to be taken (with experiencing least side effects and maximum benefits).Good Luck and God bless.

    godisone,

CBD is non-psychoactive. It cannot get you high, so no worries on that account. Additionally, if applied topically, even if there is some THC in the product (labeling should clearly state this), there is no psychoactive effect

    godisone,

Any time! I have a humorous story for you. My older dd, 35, has been having some back pain and asked me about CBD. We texted back and forth and it turned out that she was not feeling comfortable going to a “pot club" as she put it. After correcting her, dispensary is the correct word, she went to the place I've patronized for several years. I advised her, as did the bud tender to try an oral formula with a tiny bit of THC . She chose an 18:1 (CB:THC) tincture. It contains such a small amount of THC, that it is essentially non-psychoactive. My dd is lovely but a bit dramatic. She took the recommended dose and swears she felt a bit high. This would be like swallowing half a thimble full of beer and saying you felt drunk. When I explained this to her she simply said, “Oh", but has not reported any similar feelings since and is happy with the pain relief.

Find a reputable dispensary and be very clear about what you need. A knowledgeable bud tender should be able to steer you to the right products.

BTW, my mo knows I use cannabis. I use products with higher THC to help me eat and she's fine with that. When I was dx' eight years ago, my state was medical only. One of the social workers at my medical facility offered to assist me in getting my medical cannabis card 😁 Doctors, in my state, do not and have never “prescribed” cannabis. For those who use for medical purposes they simply provide documents saying the use of cannabis is for medical reasons.

To all women having CBD + hormone therapy : be carefull !!

CBD use the CYP450 enzyme to be metabolized ans this is a red flag for Tamoxifen ans AI user because these drugs use CYP450 too.

The safe dose of CBD in this case is considered to be less than 25mg per day.

To my knowledge, Fulvestrant/Faslodex don't need the CYP450 enzyme.
