DIEP from 2008. Anyone experiencing GI issues?

I feel like my stomach has just stopped working.

I'm nauseated all the time. I sometimes burp sulpher. And the other end never stops.

I know I have IBS but Imodium 2x at night always solved it.

I am wondering if the removal of the blood vessels has affected my ability to digest.

    Sulphur burps and general GI symptoms can be associated with Giardia infection. Maybe you should have that checked.

    sulphur burps and a nauseated/very full feeling can also be related to slowed/delayed gastric emptying. The question would be if it is slowed/delayed gastric emptying is it caused by the tummy tuck part of the DIEP procedure, is it caused by another condition (i.e. Diabetes), is it caused by a medication or is it just organic?

    I work with a medication that causes slowed gastric emptying and many people get the sulphur burps. They report hot lemon water with honey helps tremendously. I don't have the burps but I have that overfull/nauseated feeling after eating sometimes for hours and I have issues with the other end too. My best theory on these 2 issues is that the stomach and intestines lost some of their extra space literally over a 12 hr period and everything is being squeezed kind of in the middle. And what happens if we squeeze something in the middle? Everything rushes to the 2 opposite ends. So theoretically it takes longer for the food to go from from stomach to small intestine and large intestine doesn't have enough time to absorb the water from the waste and you get diarrhea/IBS-D symptoms. Just my theory anyway.
