Flying with port, biopsy clips

Hi. So,I haven't flown since I started chemo. We have flights book to evacuate from Florida on Sat unless hurricane changes course. Do I tell TSA that I have a port or mention biopsy clips in both breasts? I'd rather not have big discussion in security line but don't want to have a screening problem.

TIA!

The clips shouldn't matter, but I was given a card to show TSA in order to advise them of the port.

I haven't flown with my port but have gone into the local Federal Building several times with it and never an issue or question (never thought to mention it.).

I have flown with clips, port and expanders. Have not had any issues with metal detectors. I usually opt out of other equipment and request to be patted down, just to avoid unnecessary exposure and unnecessary questions.

I flew with my port several times. Sometimes it (or my prosthesis) would light up on the scanner. Sometimes not. The times I set off the scanner, I was given a secondary pat down. I would mention them at that point, but they still did the pat down. The agents were always very respectful and I didn't feel uncomfortable (female agents for the pat down).

I flew with tissue expanders, implants, biopsy and ALND clips, and a port - many times - different experiences depending on the airport, the agents, and the scanner. Never set off alarms, but did need an extra cursory pat-down a few times. I advise carrying your port card in your pocket. If you need extra patting down they will not let you access your bags. The first time I flew I advised TSA and had the expander card and port card in my pocket but they did not ask to see them.
