Hi! I'm 5 weeks pfc (having gone through 4AC + 12T), and the joints all over my body are so stiff and painful, I'm walking around like C3PO! The stiffness is especially significant on my fingers when I wake up from my sleep. It's excruciating and takes a lot of effort to close my fist. I was hoping that it'll go away, or at least lessen; but it seems to be constant thus far. I'm also suffering from muscle weakness - I rolled down some steps the other day due to weakness on my legs, and I struggle with opening bottle caps.

I suppose these are normal SE of taxol? Anyone going through the same issue would like to share some tips of managing the stiffness? Does it go away eventually?

Thanks in advance! Heading for my bmx in a few hours.. So I might not respond quickly.

Hello, my oncologist told me that chemo depressed the immune system and that when chemo was done and the immune system rebounded, that any arthritic symptoms would return with a vengeance (I'm paraphrasing here :-) ). She said that it would eventually return to pre chemo levels.

I am 9 weeks PFC and since 5 weeks PFC, I has been having finger joint pains and stiffness when I wake up. I also have joint pains when I stand up after sitting. I have searched the forums and noted a few posts on similar pains but I could not find how they are resolved. Appreciate advices. Thanks

I'm 2.5 years out from Taxotere. Still have trouble opening all jars, shampoo....just about everything. My feet are less numb but my toe tips don't really belong to me anymore. Hope you get more improvement than I did
