Hello, and thank you for this helpful forum. 3 weeks ago I went in for my annual mammogram and chose the 3D option. I have dense breast tissue. About a week later I was notified of an abnormality. 3 days ago I went in for the diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound and today had an ultrasound guided biopsy. I don't have a lot of information on what the radiologist has been looking at, only that it is located in the 12:00 region, posterior, and they seemed to have a hard time getting a good look at it. When I asked how large the are of concern is, the ultrasound tech indicated it was small, less than a cm. When the radiologist performed the biopsy today, she noted to me that the lobule/small mass/cyst decreased in size both times she took samples. She indicated that this could be a good thing, but certainly didn't give the all clear. With the long holiday weekend, I won't have results until next Tuesday. I was wondering if anyone else has had experience in a nodule/mass shrinking with biopsy. Any input would be appreciated, thank you!
