Hi everyone, I just started my first round of chemo in August 29 and am experiencing massive headaches which is also causing more nausea. Did anyone else experience this or have any success with any medications to help with this?

Thanks,

Sarah

If you are having headaches and nausea, call your MO and/or Infusion center asap to see what you should do. I know that you may not want to call but do call. Your medical team is there to help you get through chemoland and should be available 24/7. I know you would like to handle these side effects by yourself but you need to let them know you are having an post chemo infusion side effect and need some help. Keep us posted.

Thanks so much! I called my oncologist and they are going to adjust my treatment for next time. Also, she thinks my headaches could be a result of s sinus infection I got.

hi Sarah, glad you called your onc and they'll adjust next tx. Hope headache is better by now.

I had TC chemo - taxotere and Cytoxan. The infusion included a steroid as a preventive against possible allergic reaction. Buzzed me up for a couple of days (and nights!) and I don't recall headaches but I didn't have a sinus infection either.

    Best wishes and gentle ((hugs)).
