BRCA1 + and heart disease

Hi all,
I am BRCA1 positive and have a congenital heart condition. Due to estimated high risk I have an option for oophorectomy. My cardiologist is concerned that surgical menopause can worsen my heart disease outcome. Please any inputs, thank you!

If you have the ooph, would you be able to take hormone replacement therapy (assuming you've already had prophylactic mastectomies). Would that help with the heart issue?

No, I did not have anything yet. This is why I am exploring my options. And no, hormone replacement is contraindicated in me bc of heart disease. Thank you for your reply!

Updating from my genetic counseling appointment. The counselor said my heart condition could not be a problem after oophorectomy. Hope this info helps.
