Tamoxifen and SSRIs (wellbutrin)

Do they suggest Tamoxifen for people taking antidepressants? I cannot go off mine and read that it may counteract the Tamoxifen. Effect is NOT an option for me because I am schizoaffective and it makes me manic with full blown hallucinations.

    pepper...you CANNOT be on wellbutrin and tamoxifen. There are three options for when you are on tamoxifen : effexor, celexa, or lexapro. I agree with you..effexor is awful and makes me feel manic too.

    If none of these work for you, you'll have to switch to an AI. Then you could have more antidepressant choices. If you are pre menopausal, you'll need Lupron or zoladex to shut your ovaries down first. Good luck. I had no success with effexor or celexa, but lexapro seems ok so far...its early days.

    Thank you for your feedback. I am really hesitant about switching to anything else because I have only recently stabilized. I didn't know an AI was an option.
