Nobody?

Give it some time Anna I'm sure there's people starting in September. I still have 3 Docetaxel to go then I expect I'll get a wee break and start radiation at the end of October. I've been watching the July and August threads to get an idea as to what to expect.
-
It looks like I will be joining you! Not sure about the date to start yet. I have my simulation Aug 31. I have also started reading the other posts on the other threads.
As usual getting scared!
-
Velcome Shelabel. Did you have lymphnodes involved? And do you know how many rads you are going to have?
-
HELLO! I will be starting my radiation on September 4, 2017. I will be having 20 rounds and hopefully finish a day before my Birthday on October 4th. This is my second time around. First round 7 years ago, had 33 rounds of radiation at least this time it's only 20.
-
I do have lymph node involvement. I had 5 removed on the left side.
I was told i would have 25.
-
Just saying hi. Re radiation with lymph node involvement, I had total 19 removed 17 from one side. So far 30 to 40 min walk per day with say about 30 min of MLD seems to be enough to keep lymphedema at bay. I had 8 rads out of 29 (30).
There is some fluid buildup in my bad arm as well as slight discoloration. Just multiple minor symptoms enough to get annoyed

hi ladies!
I have one more round of TC and then it will be radiation. I expect to start middle or end of September. I have had my consult but not the appt where they do the markings and final plan. So far I will have 35! Not sure about dosage yet or dose intense. Looking forward to finishing chemo!
Anna- thank you for putting the group together, as it gets closer I am sure we will get more action!
-
I too will have my simulation August 30th with radiation beginning 2 weeks later. It will be 6 weeks with boosts the last week. I am checking into the proton trial, but I don't believe I will join. My RO is having second thoughts, but I will see them and share. My RO is planning tomography and believes with my cancer it might be better than the proton.
-
Here in Norway we only get 15 rads...(same total dose). I am only 32 years... minimum 8 lymphnodes with cancer
-
By the way...I am from Norway and live in Norway. So sorry if my language and spelling are not always correct..
-
Anna, your language is just fine and I am glad you found our message board, just sorry you needed to be here. Best of luck to you!

Hi Anna
I am new on this forum, just recently registered and still figuring things out. I am also starting radiation in September, but not exactly sure of the date though. I am from South-Africa and always worried about my grammar, lol! . I still don't know how many rads or for how long. I will also have chemo. My next doctors appointment is on the 17th. It feels like forever without having all the answers.
Good luck to you and keep me posted. I know I will!

Hi Anna
I started 16 radiation treatments yesterday here in Canada. So far everything is going as well as can be expected. It's scary but doable. Today I was much less anxious and feeling positive. Hope you have an easy time with this. Gentle hugs:)
-
I think the hardest thing is to know that I am stage 3...It somehow feels close to 4... Still I try to think positive. My next doctorappoint is next wednsday.
Lily128... I see we have very similar diagnosis. Just my tumor was a bit bigger... I wrote that I am progesteronepositive, but its just a few percents. Do you know if you are going to use tamoxifen or AI
My rads start in the end of september.
Jessiebelle... Good to hear thats everything is going well so far.
-
anna,
I know how you feel. I am stage 3A and 1A (yes two BC bombs) yes I am scared and depressed at times. Sometimes positive attitudes does not work. The way I see it is I cannot give up and there is only one choice for me. My choice is to be a nagging wife to my saint hubby for the next 40 yrs while kicking my faithful beagle dog daily. My dx is 4/19 nodes highly ER PR positive HER2neg. Getting all kinds of surgeries done to prevent any possible health scares. Thought of estrogen blockers makes me clinch my teeth.
Please PM me if you want to talk.

Stage 3A is still considered as early stage, think of it that way. I am very positive (or maybe it is called denial..) I have 6 good weekdays with one crazy freak-out day in between. I have a wonderful support system but it makes me feel better to chat to others that has gone or going through the same thing.
At this stage I am more frustrated with the P-Vac sticking out of my boob. Can't wait to get rid of it next week...so I have something to look forward to. Normal showers!! Its the little things hey?! I believe in the one-day-at-a-time approach.
Yes I will receive Tamoxifen and Herceptin. I have a friend that is the same age as you Anna, with the same diagnosis (also 3cm). She was diagnosed in 2016, had a year of treatments and is 100% now.
You are welcome to PM me. Thinking of you all. xx
-
Thank you all for sharing, answearing and all support. I apricciate that!!! Its hard to be a mum of a new born premature and a three year old while going through treatment....
I love to hear and read about positive stories
-
Hi everyone! Looks like I will be joining you for rads in September. My simulation is scheduled for the 7th, and I should start treatments around the 21st. I'll have either 30 or 33 treatments - my RO isn't sure which yet. I have to have both breasts radiated, and she is undecided about whether she wants to go with a slightly lower dose for a few extra cycles.
-
I'm starting radiotherapy in early September. Hope it all goes well for you xxx
-
Is there any of you that are in your twenties or thirties?
-
44 here! Feel like I am 94 some days though!
-
I'm 39
-
I am 45 and this is a recurrence my first diagnosis was at 41! At the time my youngest was 2!! Now he is 7 and know mom is sick, asks questions, does not understand fully. It was much easier when he was young!
-
Hello! Yes I will be stopping Tamoxifen and starting radiation September 18th. I am so nervous about doing these things to my body. I have heard of women who choose to do nothing. Just be proactive with mammograms. Just Hope I am doing the right thing.
-
I'm starting radiotherapy in September too, I will have 33 treatment
I just turn 39 and like shelabela I feel like I am 100
-
I am 32.
Did you get hot flushes from Taxol? During the nights im cold in one minute and then really warm the next.
-
Anna, yes I have those hot flashes, too. I have my final chemo tomorrow, and I'm hoping they go away in a few weeks. I also have some neuropathy in my hands and feet, and one of my toenails appears to be lifting from the nail bed.
-
I'll be starting mid-September. I had my first simulation this morning. I'm at a center where they offer radiation in the prone (lying on stomach) position for the left breast, so it's a bit uncomfortable, but not too bad in the grand scheme of things. I have a second simulation in two weeks. Then start daily radiation for 15 sessions (three weeks, M-F) the following Monday after I drop the kids off at school.
-
Hi ladies! I am 46 years old. It looks like I will be joining you in September. I just had my "simulation" appointment yesterday and received my 3 tattoo dots. Will begin my radiation treatments Sept 1. Looks like I will be having them for 6 weeks.
