Haiku for Fun

Writing down haiku,
Finding words to match my thoughts
Joins me to the world.
-
Leaves fall from the trees.
Branches wrap in winter wealth:
Diamonds and fine lace.
-
I am here, and now
I am so fiercely living
In the here and now.
-
Tick tock. My life clock
seems much faster to me now.
And louder. TICK TOCK!
-
Welcome Abracadabra! Glad to see soneone posting!
Words on paper sing
When thoughts are captured quickly
No time for critique
-
Oh my painful back
clearly a pain in the butt
says my sad tooshy
-
My bad attitude
Swallow poison? I think not!
Need psychiatrist
......
By poison I mean
Nasty drug prescribed to me
Where's the right choice here
-
happy comfort dog
stays by my side when needed
long walk tomorrow
-
It's late. I can't sleep.
Too hot. Too cold. Too worried.
Why is sleep so hard?

Thanks for the welcome Moonflwr912, and thanks for starting this thread. I'd heard of haiku before but didn't know the structure ... this is a fun place to try it out.
-
Spider on ceiling.
Science knows how you cling there.
It's magic to me.
-
Dust motes in the air
Dance and float in golden light
Then they disappear.
-
To swallow poison
Knowing it might only help
Requires much strength
-
when cancer arrived
the first time staggered me
how about next time
-
I am ER plus,
so A.I.'s are my future?
I can live with that.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Note: In this case, A.I. is short for Aromatase Inhibitor, not Artificial Intelligence (which is also probably part of the future, but that's another haiku!)
-
I'm an old-timer so remember when ER stood for Emergency Room; and like you think of A.I. as Artificial Intelligence. Oh! now that part of days gone by was good.
-
love research studies
agreeing with my beliefs
cocktail for my pain
-
The absence of pain:
clear thought, movement, well being;
presence in your life.
-
Careful with Advil
Settle for new normal low
Just take the edge off
-
Still too many things
Going wrong and needing work
But, I guess, "That's Life"!
-
I'm used to thinking
it's my fault when things go wrong
'snot good to go there
-
I long to roll up
in a nice warm ball
and wake up rested
-
Sara...me too!
-
dark skies here at night
flashlight illuminates yard
doggy duty done
-
Magiclight - Ha! Me too! Love it!!
-
Started a new job
(Stay home mom for twenty years)
Everything is new
-
starting something new
how dreadful and delightful
would a (((hug))) help you
-
Just in case it does,
Here is a hug from me too
What an adventure
-
I have a big smile
on my face. Work was fine, your
haikus made my day!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you so much, magiclight and Sara536!!! I was so touched by your thoughtful words.
-
Abracadabra
You must have been amazing
So, now what is next?
-
In Wisconsin last
I ran into my first date
He rememberd not!
