    Hi Robbie!

Architectural distortion is actually a description, not a diagnosis. My guess is that you're quoting from either a doc's description to you, or from a report or letter. Can you tell us a bit more?

What led to the imaging? Was this a routine screening mammogram? Did someone find something they wanted imaged? Did you have a mammogram? More than one? An ultrasound" an MRI?

If you don't have the actual report sent to the doc who ordered the imaging (instead of just a "patient letter"), you'll want to get that. The actual report will give you much more information...and with that information, we'll be able to help you sort out what it might mean.

In the meantime, "architectural distortion" might just mean (for example) that a "shadow" was seen, and they can't tell what is causing it. It might mean (for example) that there was a fold in your breast as they were applying compression. They might well be asking you to come back for more imaging so that they can try to sort out what it is (and it could well be nothing!).

HTH...but come back and tell us more!
